Mark 8:35 NIV

For whoever wants to save their
life will lose it, but whoever
loses their life for me and 
for the gospel will save it.

Mark 8;35 KJV

For whosoever will save his life
shall lose it; but whosoever shall
lose his life for my sake and the 
gospel's, the same shall save it.

Revelation 2:9-11 NIV

"I know your afflictions and 
your poverty---yet you are 
rich! I know about the 
slander of those who say
they are Jews and are not, 
but are a synagogue of 
satan.

Do not be afraid of what you
are about to suffer. I tell you, 
the devil will put some of you 
in prison to test you, and you
will suffer persecution for....
Be faithful, even to the point
of death, and I will give you 
life as your victor's crown.
